Although Juliet Mitchell's article was unusual in terms of a feminist point of view. She talks about how completely disregarding Freud's theories would be detrimental to the feminist study because by learning about how we were seen during those times we may learn why men were so oppressive to women. In her article Mitchell states that we cannot blame Freud for his masogonistic theories because he was part of a patriarichal society.
